Hi. I am a new gardener. Basically, I don’t know anything yet about gardening in Florida and I was wondering if your Basic Seed Kit would be good for me to buy since I live in a very warm climate. Zone 10b in Southwest Florida. Will all of these seeds grow in my zone? Thanks for your advice.

Colleen,
We purposely chose seed varieties that have been grown over the last 100 years all across the country. These varieties were very common because they grew all over. We did not want some exotic wonderful tomato that grows very well in one particular area. In Florida, you can grow vegetables easier in the fall, winter, and spring. Here is a website that specializes in climate like yours. http://beekman1802.com/self-sowing-second-crops/. Talk to other gardeners in your area. Visit the local extension service. They should have information on growing vegetables locally. Every area presents challenges with some vegetables and ideal conditions for other vegetables. Our seed will not be the limiting factor. We give you seed that will produce well wherever you live.
